From the same company that brought you the world renowned Cave Paint range of pigment inkjet inks, Absolute Inkjet is pleased to announce the introduction of the new Sublim8 range of dye sublimation inks for transfer printing on to a wide range of substrates. Featuring the same printer reliability and ease of use as our regular inks, Sublim8 inks provide stunning color, high density blacks, and high light fastness, and are perfect for producing printed textiles, soft signage, and specialty personalized photo products using the sublimation heat transfer method.

Supplied in ready to use cartridges or in bulk bottles for use with our range of refillable cartridges or Epson EcoTank printers, Sublim8 inks offer significant savings over competitive sublimation inks while providing a better level of performance and printer reliability. Sublim8 inks are supplied indifferent formulations dependent on printer model:-

Sublim8 V1 sublimation inks

For use on the latest Epson wide format printers the use precision Core print head technology, and Epson technology printers from Mutoh, Mimaki, and Roland.

Epson Pro 4900/7700/7890/7900/9700/9890/9900

Epson EcoTank printers - most models (can only be installed on new printers that have not had ink installed)

Epson SureColor F series.

Epson SureColor P series.

Epson SureColor T series.

Mutoh, Mimaki, and Roland sublimation models.

Sublim8 V2 sublimation inks

For use on older models of Epson wide format printer models.

Epson Photo 1400, 2200, R2400, R2880, R3000.

Epson Artisan 1430.

Epson Stylus Pro 3800, 3880, 4000, 4800, 4880, 7600, 7800, 7880, 9600, 9800, 9880, 10000, 10600.

Sublim8 transfer settings

The transfer settings for Sublim8 inks are the same as for most dye sublimation inks - a temperature of 375 - 400 F for 60 -120 seconds under medium pressure. The exact press settings to use are dependent on the substrate being sublimed to, and the manufacturer of the sublimation blank you are using should be able to provide their recommended transfer settings. We have found that the settings below for some commonly used substrates:-

Polyester textiles and T-shirts            375 F for 60 seconds

Sublim8 aluminum photo panels        375 F for 60 seconds (increase time for panels over 8” x 10”)

Chromaluxe aluminum panels            400 F for 85 seconds (increase time for panels over 8” x 10”)

Note: We recommend that any printer that is running regular inkjet inks or competitive brands of sublimation inks be flushed out before installing Sublim8 inks, and we supply cleaning cartridges and fluids for this purpose – see link below.
